What started as a booster for families to cope with the added expenses incurred in preparing for Passover and the High Holy Days, has now evolved into a full-blown holistic operation – supporting the Jewish
community across Greater London and Essex, as well as networking with welfare agencies in North England to arrange local distributions.
We do this through the distribution of Kosher food parcels and essentials. In addition to supporting 2000 families over Passover and the High Holy Days, today we offer weekly Shabbat food packages, as well as food parcels to those facing a sudden emergency crisis.
In conjunction with local Rabbis, social welfare agencies and communal organisations, the trustees of Food Lifeline (Z.S.V. Trust) have established a careful assessment criterion to ensure fair distribution and proper verification of level of need. Our operations are run by a team of 50 volunteers with DBS clearance, who are trained in Health & Safety, Safeguarding and COVID related measures.
We invite you to share our commitment to relieve poverty and hunger amongst your neighbors and friends.
